Brookfield MOMS Club Gives!
As much as we try to push it off, school is starting right around the corner and we are all busy doing back-to-school shopping bringing both excitement and anxiety. Being that we are a charitable organization and our members have expressed the want to give back locally, we thought now would be a great time to get involved and help kids in our community! Back to school shopping can be fun but also very stressful for families who don’t have the financial means to complete their list of school supplies.
Brookfield Social Services has informed us there are currently 40 children in Whisconier Middle School and Brookfield High School that use assistance services including a “Back to school” program partnered with the Salvation Army. However, this program doesn’t cover all the needs of all the kids throughout the year. Let’s do what we can to help relieve the stress of another Brookfield mom who utilizes Brookfield Social Services.
We are looking to collect any school supplies, but mainly the following items: - Pencils (regular and mechanical) - Colored pencils - Filler paper - Notebooks - Black composition notebooks - Compasses - Protractors
Please send us a message via this page or at thebrookfieldmomsclub@gmail.com and someone from the club would be happy to pick them up from you.
Thanks for any help you can provide to help the less fortunate in town. As they say, “it takes a village!”
